This week's List it Tuesday topic was offered by Nicole and I loved it. Been there, done that. Checked boxes. Here are a few.
1. Rode a bus over the Andes from Chile to Argentina
2. Was a monkey in the 5th grade school play
3. Forgot the lines to a poem at a 6th grade recital and walked off the stage
4. Rode in a cop car and went to three police stations in Rio
5. Lived in a hotel for a month without checking out (I was working out of town, tired, and didn't have the energy to go home)
6. Went to a World Cup game (Spain vs South Korea)
7. Went to the Final Four in 1992 (my team lost in the semis so I sold my last ticket and went out to eat)
8. Drove a Miami of Ohio university bus (once)
9. Worked for a week on the Neiman Marcus Holiday Express train (it was a two year thing in the 90s where we loaded a full NM store on an American Orient Express and traveled to 10 cities in the South. I was in the men's clothing car and sold pocket humidors )
10. 45 out of 50 states (Alaska, North Dakota, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire still await)
Can't wait to hear about your checked boxes! Next week's suggested topic comes from Andrea: "small comforts" (things that make you feel better).

Oh I love yours Aimee : ) If I could only think of what a pocket humidor is (?)
For cigars, I'm thinking?

Retail on the rails that's awesome when business is slow you didn't get bored staring out the window that's for sure.
45 out of 50?! Wow!! I've got a ways to go, that's for sure! Love the "been there, done that" doodle...future magnet, perhaps?
oooooo, road trip! next time you are in minnesota, we're tripping to north dakota! i need to cross it off my list, too.
I made it this week with my list, and am glad to meet so many new peeps in bloggyland and read their lists. Great themes for Tuesdays Aimee, and what a coool list you have.
i really love this list...Your trip sounds like a lot of fun!
I love your list and the topic as well. Had a lot of fun creating mine:)
Oh wow! Your list is amazing!!! What a fabulous purpose-driven life you led and live. I am trying to remember something exciting and all that comes to mind are terrifying things that make me feel thankful I am still alive, like driving along a farm road in the Philippines and hitting a cow and seeing the farmer approach me with a machete...Oh to be young and stupid. Hah!
Great list and I am constantly amazed at how much we have in common!
Wow, you've travelled so much and not yet been to Northern New England??? Well, there are your summer plans then...go to Acadia National Park in Maine, travelling through Vermont (Maple Syrup) and NH (no sales tax, all the liquor you want!!!) to get there, woot! :-)
ND and Alaska? Obviously a bit harder for you to do from NJ!
I love your list! The bit about the Neiman Marcus train made me laugh!!
It's interesting how our personalities come thru with these lists..what a great spirit you have. So glad to be part of the sharing..
Hi Aimee, it's been a while! How have you been? Busy, from the looks of that list! :-)
I just wanted to let you know that I’m hosting gentle, somewhat introspective blog challenge over the month of December called #reverb12.
Would be so rapt if you joined us!
There’s a little giveaway too. :-) Details here: http://isawyoudancing.blogspot.com.au/p/reverb12.html
Take care,

Loved this topic! I'm impressed that you've been to so many states. I have almost the entire west side covered, but still have to visit most of the east coast and south.
OOOOOH, I love coming here. You stimulate every part of me, from dazzling my eyes to lighting up my brain to tickling my funny bone. Po-po in Rio???? I have to hear more about that! Are you even allowed to go back there? ;)
Love the list.
If I had a bucket list, That bus trip over the Andes would be on it.
I feel like it's so normal to think of all the things that we haven't done, haven't accomplished in our lives that we often forget what we've already been there and done -- thank you for this!
