As promised! Here are two check-ins this week: one for the movie lines and the other is a receptacle for list topics. Share your ideas! Fill our coffers! As for me... I have lots of favorite movie lines (I could have copied and pasted the whole of The Blues Brothers) but the one rattling supreme in my head last week was... "we're not in Kansas anymore"...
Next week's topic suggestion comes from Storybeader: your Santa list! Make it as creative and as farfetched as you wish :)

I am behind behind behind on art every day and forgot about the movie lines...maybe I'll squeak it in! A Santa list sounds like fun but I may as well burn it and send it up the chimney (if we had one) like the kids do in Mary Poppins. Maybe she'll show up with her umbrella and something off the mama's wish list.
oh yeah... you can make this a mama's wish list, an artist's wish list, pie-in-the-sky list, whatever you want! :D
Oh yes...you are so not in Kansas anymore. Perfect for you and your ruby slippers!

...another idea for a list: personal mottos... I have so many but here is one I borrowed from Grover: "Don't even try to thank me, I live to serve."
Lynn, I love it!!
I've never been to Kansas, or in a tornado either! I wander, do they go hand in hand... {:-D
I made a BIG list of lists!
And as a Kansas-raised girl who moved around a lot in her 20s and early 30s before settling in warm and weird Florida, I find myself saying that line quite often!
Welcome back!! Even when I've failed to do a list on time, I'm still reading them and loving it!! PS Nicole really did an awesome list ideas list...holy cow!!
Killer shoes! I love them.
Oh, this is one of those topics that I need time to think about (if I post a couple, I'll kick myself on Thursday for leaving some out). Here is a favorite movie line that immediately comes to mind. It's from the movie Desk Set starring Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. I've always wanted to work in an office like the one in the movie.
"Bye girls! Always a pleasure seeing your freshly scrubbed, smiling faces. Remember our motto: be on time, do your work, be down in the bar at 5:30." Gig Young as Mike Cutler in the movie Desk Set (1957)
Are there YOUR many janes??????? Aimee, I love them.
Ooooh, love your shoes. And your tights. And those pillows!
My favorite movie line is, "Son, you've got a panty on your head." hehehehe. Raising Arizona. :)
Oh, here is movie line for you which I have been remembering for months now - I would love to do an illustration or embroidery of it! Saw it some time ago when we were having a meal in this restaurant that shows old silent movies. It is from a Charlie Chaplin movie:
"She has a fever and needs careful attention."
Hmmm, on typing it it doesn't sound so funny anymore, but I still love it!
