put your color on

put-your-color-on

These words have been floating in my creative cauldron for a while and they finally found their home on paper. Just a little doodle about the importance of carrying yourself around life with color and confidence. The little lady reminds me a lot of my friend Rachel Awes, she of festooned head and free-spirited mind, who scatters color and happiness along every path she travels.

(5x7 doodle print in the shop here.)

Your post is an omen. Yesterday I watched "The Magic Trip" about Ken Kesey & The Merry Pranksters. It very much said the same thing to me, and that's what I intend to do! Somehow I got off the bus in '64, but I'm ready to get back on and live the best life I can, free of wage-slavery. xxoo

Aimee, I love this piece! I've been eyeballing the pieces in your shop, wanting to get one for each of my girls. They are so bright and inspiring and just exactly the kinds of messages I want to raise them with!

I'm a pretty reserved person in general, but when I put on my red hat, blue coat, and yellow scarf and walk out into the staid gray streets of Washington, DC, I feel a little like this lady. This is lovely!
