AEDM 2011 #9: They'll take Manhattan

This was to be the day to unpack and get back on track. But the weather! So beautiful! Why settle for settling? Instead I took the girls to NYC for their first taste of the city. Not many chances for photo ops this time since I had each of their little hands clutched in mine. But they took very favorably to it all, perhaps because I took them directly to Nintendo World? Back to the doodledesk (which is temporarily a Golden Girls era wicker table) tomorrow!

So glad you made it to the new digs all safe and sound. And the city sounds like and excellent way to begin this phase. Good luck with the settling!

ah.... to see the city through those young eyes. I was 14 when I first saw it. Love it, did they?

Welcome! That must have been so exciting to introduce the city to your girls. And yes, the weather's been amazing!

Ooh, it's nearly exactly a year since we said our "I do's" down by the lake at the Ladies Pavillion in Central Park and I wish we were back there so much! I loved New York more than aby city
we've been to so far. I think it is such an exciting opportunity for you and your family!

First, congratulations on having reached your new home safely! May it be the place you dreamed about and keep you and your family safe and happy!

I am in awe that you managed to captured so many expressive and beautiful images along the road. One of my big dreams is to one day drive from the East towards the West and try to find images that express the feel of the land. You did an admirable job!

Wow! It's been years since we've been that far East. I've been thinking about you as you travel. Glad to hear you've arrived safe and in one piece.

I've featured you in this week's FATuesday Artist Spotlight again! Thank you for your wonderful work.

I went to NYC several years ago on a
day trip from Ridge, LI. We took the train and after walking around the outside of the empire state building, I was ready to leave. I just wish we had someone to show us where things were. We didn't have a lot of time and no where near the money we would need.
Best wishes on your new place....
