excuses

disappeared-because

Either the calendar lies or I've slacked off here for a week and a half. What's the excuse now? Normally I'd blame it on #1 but this time it's a tad of #2 and a lot of #5. I've tackled my first doodled tome, a mini book/zine/whatever you want to call it, hand lettered from start to finish. Whenever I get fully absorbed in something I get obsessed to the point that everything else falls by the wayside. Even the kids are giving me forlorn looks and fixing their own Special K. Hoping to get back here soon to share my humble little production from the Artsyville press, but for now I must wrestle with the printing and binding (the parts that always elude me) and rig the garden hose to the side of my doodledesk. Even A/C isn't enough to stave off this bitchin' 100+ heat.

Haha... for some reason I take great joy one my favorite "nice people" cuss! Yes! Bitchin' is the only way to describe this heat. If it's any consolation I haven't been posting much this week either but finally got something up today!

I've got a Bind-it-all machine if you need to borrow it . . .

Being the weather channel junkie that I am, I have noticed that it's been bitchin' hot in your neck of the woods! And that, coming from a born and bred Florida girl, where we are quite used to 100 degree days the entire month of August!

summer IS charming. for me, Dunkin Donuts sweet tea has been my internal A/C.

glad to see you back...spunky as ever.

HaHa....I'm laughing here picturing your kids big eyes looking at you as they have Special K for dinner!! Too funny! I love it when I'm so immersed in a project to care about anything or anyone else!! At least now, my kids can actually cook when I won't!! Hahaha

*I'm a big fan of breakfast food for dinner btw :D

at least you approach your excuses with humor. Today I'm just whining about it! With your inspiration I will come back with some laughs tomorrow!

at least you have identified your excuses on paper... I just keep mine to myself & hibernate without sharing! ha!
sorry about all the heat! I would melt & get cranky! you get A+ efforts for being able to create in the heat!

...can I trade you some of that heat for all the rain and storms we're having?

After weeks of coasting, I finally get the bit between my teeth today and got active on a new project. Now of course, I am totally absorbed and my punks are mostly fending for themselves *grin*

We've got autumn weather instead of summer in England! Glad to see you're back :)

I've posted about the lovely prize I won from you on my blog. I'm determined to send my 12 readers to Artsyville ;)

Thanks again and don't let the heat get to you. I look forward to seeing the result of Project Obsession.

Great, funny post! I can so relate to the getting immersed in a project and no one eats cooked food anymore! Tell the kids they are learning independence for when they are out on their own :)

I'm commiserating with the weather you've been having. We have extra high heat and unbelievable dust. I'm ready to head out to anywhere with rain!
