just penned a few friendly words to the numbnut(s) who "visited" us last night -- i figured a sign would be more effective than filing a police report ;)
I once had someone break into my Jeep--go through everything--and had enough time on his/her hands to open a birthday card from my Grandma--take the chocolate dollar inside--but leave the card!! I guess not all criminals are heartless!!! Sorry yours was just dumb!
we made it really easy for the thief! accidentally left the garage door open last night. i think the next sign to make is for myself: "did you close the garage door?" i have a laundry list of other things that i wish s/he/they had taken -- so maybe THAT should be the next list I should do! make it even easier for 'em!
connie, i love that the thug left the card -- makes you wonder what goes through these people's minds and lives and what makes them so desperate.
Oh Aimee, How frustrating! I love the way you look at the situation.
I use to work for a Dr and we were always getting broken in and the type writer was taken. Once we replaced the type writer and I wrote "infected with aids" it was never taken again. lol Yep, dum asses! Creative hugs, Anna
so sorry this has happened to you, i've been thru it myself BUT your approach to over-come circumstance is amazing...and prompted a grin & a giggle! thank you much for sharing :)
craaaaaacking up! need one of those for the jackass that stole my kid's bike last year. practically right under our noses out of our garage. (feels very violating, doesn't it?)
That is awesome! We live on a busy road and I always forget to lock my car (I'm too easily distracted i guess!) I've been broken into when the doors were locked and several times when I forgot to lock! I love how you made something bad into something funny and good! I'll have to remember this trick!
You are sooo freakin awesome! I love you. Sorry to hear of numnut vandals though... We had our car stolen from our driveway a couple years back and the little thugs stole bubble gum, dollar store glasses, & cds (on top of the speakers, bumpers, and tail lights!)
I love your note and I love your style. Way to go in not letting idiots get you down. I am sorry you were visited. Thought not the same, my daughter could join you in note writing. She wrote a note to warning solicitors to stay away and signed "love Helena". Keep up that great spirit of yours. xo, Angela (Peach Coglo)
Love it! I mean, sucks that you crashed, but your doodle about it is true awesomeness at it's finest. as for the break in, i feel your pain. we had that happen a few years ago, and WE WERE HOME! the jerks broke into our garage while we were sleeping upstairs. i'm just so thankful they didn't attempt to actually come in the house. i might've had to really break bad on them then. ;-)
clearly the marauding maniacs are of the geriatric set and/or amateurs. you'll catch those suckers next time. love your doodle as we have a congressman here in nyc who seems to also be afflicted with dumb-ass syndrome!
I am sorry for your break in, but can't help but smile at your note to the thugs. I too live in an area where the note would probably be more likely to work than a police report.
This. Is awesome. I could have used a few signs like that when my 1. Surf board got stolen 2.Bike got stolen 3. Car got broken into and they stole all my CDs (but this was in the 90s, so CDs were still relevant) 4.my car go broken into and they ruined the steering column but never got it started... When will i ever learn learn to just.lock.my. Shit. UP. ( but since I most likely never will, maybe I'll just hire you to make me signs)

oh my, Aimee you are the best! First, so sorry to hear that happened to you. But your attitude is the best!
and really c.d.'s??
LOL! What a great way to express your feelings against the person whom has stole from you. Very creativ. Hope the last word is spelled right;)
so much better than profanity you initially considered!
If they can read it! I love the way you have turned an unleasant thing into art here Aimee!
If they dare come back they will probably nab your poster too. It's very attractive ya know!
You're hilarious! You never fail to brighten my day.

I'm seriously sorry about that incident, but Aimee, you rock ;)
Thanks for the laugh!
I sure hope those "kids" see that. Probably a, "I dare you" moment. I love the way you handle law breakers.
So sorry for the theft, and I would NEVER want them to return, but oh I WOULD love for them to read your beautiful message to them.
Yep, your outlook on life just ROCKS! Way to go with making lemonade!

Hehehehehe, Aimee, that's the best response ever... 'Numnuts' is such a satisfying word!
We had a home invasion just last year...it is rather scary...but I love the way you turned yours into ART!! Love your creativity!!
well said and done, love your outburst(s);-)
Well you sure don't let the b*stards get you down! :) Fabulous post. Nothing more scummy than theiving little dumb asses.
ha! I bet that felt therapeutic!

Great sign but if you don't report it the police can't track a pattern of breakins to finally catch whoever it is.
Clearly, your art is more valuable than any CD. They will be back!
This is why I love you so much!

Terrible situation to occur, but your message is too beautiful, causing me to smile.
So sorry you had this happen, Aimee! Love your sign though - your sense of humor is amazing.

Oh -I am so sorry to hear about this!
I have to say that the way you responded is truly inspired :)

Brilliant sign! Sorry about the break-in.
SHIT...Hope they can read!!!
And that you are good girl...long time no see...Sorry...
