you were a stodgy month, february. good riddance to you. and welcome, march. though you are a big waffler and can't ever make up your mind as to who you are or want you want to be, i like you, probably because that spirit mirrors mine perfectly at the moment. yesterday you fed me sunshine and ice cream and enough warmth to go on a photocrawl without my eyeballs freezing out of my head. today you threw out my back and stuck my kid with the stomach flu, leaving us both feeling like the mannequins in the shop windows. i have no idea what you'll offer me tomorrow, and right now that's exactly what i need. change. preferably of the positive sort. little green things peeping out of the ground would be a nice start.

I agree about your take on February and hope that March marches forth in good health and an unexpected surprise or two for you!!
yesterday it was sunny and 30 degree's... today it is grey and 5... can anyone blame me for switching my moods on a dime?!
It's official, February sucks. And we've got sunshine, but there won't be any cute tanks out around here anytime soon. Although I do have green things popping up. Yay!
Happy almost spring!
March forth into the Spring!!!
(sorry about the flu!)
Totally agree...sunny and fairly warm yesterday at about 28 degrees, and today is grey, windy and very cold with temp around 5 degrees and windchill about -20. What's with this crazy weather! Can't wait for small little green things to start popping out also! :)
why are those kiddos wearing no jackets? madness.
whahooo for March and the first signs of Spring!
I hope the 3rd is far, far better than the 2nd. Thanks for the photo tour. Perhaps I should take some photos of piles of completely disgusting black snow.
Yes, goodbye February! March is as fickle as they come, but I too welcome at least the possibilities it brings!
Love seeing what catches your eye when you're out and about :)
Yes, February was a sorry month in so many ways... and March is uncertain but can only get better. We have sunshine in Texas with temps in the 70s, and the first blooms are popping out on the purple plums, the redbuds and just faintly on the bradford pear trees. Wishing you a better back and weller kid.
Love the photos. The skull and crossbones shoes kick ass.
March is most welcome. I am now allowed to think about Spring, a luxury I don't allow myself in the depths of January and February.
Well, I'm going to disagree with the popular view that February sucked. Mine didn't but only because of my wonderful birthday trip - the rest of the month was pretty meh! March has been lovely here (Ireland) really sunny but frosty cold - just how I like my winter days!! They do say though that March will come in like a lamb and out like a lion so I fear it'll be back to wet and windy soon enough!
Great eclectic collection of photos. Hope your back and your daughter's flu go away as quickly as they came!
we've had some fickle weather here too.
*hugs* Health to you and yours!
(and... I WANT TO GO TO THE SEED FAIR!!)
...and not a parka in sight! I love it!
So sorry you and the munchkin are laid low - hope by now you've recovered.
I love the red shoes with skulls - EXACTLY what Abby on NCIS would wear!!
Wait just a gosh darn second. You can wear a tank top in Kansas on March 1st? That's it. We're moving. And we'll bring Jen with us.
p.s. I will also be buying the skull shoes when I arrive.
WOW! we must-ta been nursing our backs at the same time! hobbling on crutches in the rain threw my back out! urrghhh! back spasms are NO FUN! your city looks adorable! here's sending you California weather for "March madness" (nope! I don't follow college basketball - but I'm hoping March is better to you than February - so you don't go MAD!! tee! hee!)...
Oh, dear - let's hope for green bits and perhaps a pair of red shoes (or pink?) to cheer you up! (PS I did not know that you have Tsonga shoes over there!)
Same over here - there's ICE today.
Fantastic photos! What a place. I haven't been out that door since Sunday but doing stretches at the window yesterday I saw that we have a random daffodil in our front garden :) It's a brand new house and this wee darling must have survived all the lorries, trucks, diggers etc and there it is blooming merrily - was a lovely present, thank you March!!
i long for spring soooo.
your photos are super fun.
hope wellness winds are swooshing through your home, dear aimee.
lol. xoxox

Oh...I'm with you...March just is a huge mixing pot!
Freezing one day...snowing another...sunny and rainy...really difficult to dress for and our girls just are DONE with their snow pants!

the stomach bug is traveling through here, too. today's victim: daddy.
hope you both feel better soon! toots is taking a day from preschool b/c she had a low fever still last night. i am playing nurse and maid.
i NEED those red shoes with the skull and crossbones.
hope spring comes to you soon-- while we still holding on to summer .... and i am not ready for change yet.
great photos! (one day i will visit!)
hi sunshine. we need to catch up in a big way. love to you and your stomach flubies.
Yes,say goodbye to February...hello March!
It seems to have been a ruff winter for many, my spring give us all a colorful lift! :]
Oh Februray February. But yep, dear March, you can't figure out if you want to be windy and chilly or hot and humid.
I hope March is fantastically energizing and amazing for you Aimee!
:))
Great photos! I love them. I need to come to Kansas or maybe I just need to go on a photo crawl of my own in Dallas. I'm in need. Thankfully, we are seeing some green here! Won't be long and we'll see some bluebonnets too! Hurray! Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to rub it in.

I am wishing you lots of green things popping out of the ground. Love the pictures, Maya my 12 year old wants these red shoes...they are awesome indeed, I want them too.

Glad to be visiting here again Aimee, got way too busy, and forgot I missed your verbal and visual stories..
Hello! Even though February is my birthday month....I'm always glad to see it go. Gives us a little light at the end of the tunnel. Ha!
Oh yes, bring on the pussy willow blossoms and the daffodils and tulips...I live in the San Juan Islands in Washington state...I hope we do not have to brush the snow off of our daffodil fields. But..the days are longer, there is hope, light and sun. We made it!!!!
March! In like a waffle, out like French toast! I love the dramatic ups and down in weather. It lets me use my entire wardrobe.
What a fantastic day for a photocrawl! Hahaha, love that big bird trying to take a peek at pin numbers. And clearly, my just-got-out-of-bed look is catching on in Lawrence, judging by the look of the mannequin's wig. Hope the little tummies are calming down and ouch for your back! Feel better, all of ya.
seriously. March is a fickle bitch.
It is good to be out of February despite the ups and downs of March. Hope you and your little one are feeling all better. Thanks for the cheery photos.
like the way you look at life.
looks like you are having wonderful spring days. Here we have still ice!
I love this work: the freedom, the colours!!!
Greetings, Mariska Eyck
