hi all! well, i think i've run out of steam on the listing prompt. that's not to say that there aren't endless things to list about, but the format isn't pushing me creatively any longer and in fact it's causing a big brain plug-up. curiously i've turned to making strings of etsy treasuries to channel my energy until i can start getting some stuff out on paper again. some people drink, some gamble, i make etsy treasuries. anyway, it's time for a change. i've thoroughly loved all of your lists and have a not-so-secret hope that someone will keep list it tuesday rolling. if you're interested in taking over the host role, send me an e-mail at artsyville (at) gmail (dot) com. if there are multiple takers, i'll do a random draw; if i get none, we'll just wrap it up this week. if you posted a list this week, please leave your link in the comments! thanks everyone - i have enjoyed the listing ride!

Aw man, I've only just worked out how to put the list it tuesday picture and link on my blog!! I will really miss this as it got my brain juices flowing and was such a great way to meet and discover other wonderful bloggers and their blogs. I hope you come up with another wonderful way for everyone to share ideas and blogs. There is now no sketchbook project and no list it tuesday - I've to no excuse then not to get on with the things I listed about today!!

Oh no. Oh no. Don't stop! I am a chronic listmaker my self. Could not live without my lists. I have discoverd ARTSYVILLE soon after I launched my own blog in october and I adore it! I post my lists every friday. I have named them "listes du vendredi". I would love you to read them... though they are not as artistic as yours... Here they are : http://nathalienayer.blogspot.com/search/label/list

As usual, my timing is impeccable.

I can totally relate Aimee... I think I got a brain cramp making today's list, and it's pretty lame too :/ I *love* making lists, so what the heck?! I guess like you, I'm forcing creativity and trying to be somewhat clever and I'm starting to embarrass myself - LOL :D
If enough peeps stamp their feet and have a full on emotional tantrum about it, I'll take List It Tuesday over, but I'm good either way. Thanks much - it's been a fun ride :)
Today's List:

Ah no! I've posted my first one today!
http://sowandsew.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/list-it-tuesday/
But I do get what you mean - if things become a blockage rather than an inspiration, it's time to move on, or at least take a break.
If people would like to carry on, I'd be happy to host it for a bit (although I am no artistic substitute for your good self).
I love lists! I make them all the time. Posting them regularly? Not my thing. I jumped in a few times but have found that blogging specifics on a set schedule is not something I can (or perhaps) commit to (for now anyways). I enjoyed your lists, the lists it prompted me to post and reading other readers lists as well! Thanks for the ride and for waking the awareness that there are so many other list-makers out there!!!
i'll miss your weekly lists...but i totally understand!

I'll miss your regularly scheduled lists Amiee, but I've been reading long enough to know we'll be lucky enough to read them every so often. I look forward to that! And to more creative words and works from you. You are always fun and inspiring!
Here is my list for your last week.

Much love,
Sharon
thanks everyone for understanding - i feel like an ass especially to those who just joined in, but hopefully the prompt won't have to stop! i'll let you know in the next post if it's going to continue, and if so, where/who to contact.
xoxo
Awww....i love list-it tuesday and even participated 3 times....but i can understand the need to shake things up a bit...roll with the flow....create elegant-etsy creations, truly i can. Hopefully someone will pick this up and run with it, cuz I feel i still have a couple more lists in me :D
Ohhh and IF someone picks this up....hopefully Aimee you will join in once and awhile BECAUSE your lists CRACK ME UP!!
it was a good run, go ahead and evolve! thanks for the fun!
here's my last then, too:

i've really enjoyed your lists - but i think it's cool that you are honoring the idea that you feel it's time to move on.
i caved after the first week! i have made a lot of etsy treasuries since then.
I am sorry you're done, but I can understand. I will probably keep doing a list on Tuesday. I'd offer to take over, but I have no idea what's involved.
Here's my post, kittehs included: http://bit.ly/hyPWMu
You made it longer than me - how about a list it on the last (or first) Tuesday of each month? I think I could handle that :)
Can't wait for some new ideas to rev up and drive out of Artsyville!
I'd say I'd host LIT but the only thing consistent about my blogging is that it's inconsistent.
Oh Aims no need in the slightest to feel bad, it's a smart and oh so grown-up (finally maybe getting there in these three ohhs) thing to recognize when the show is over and you need something else to divert your attention. You're just a popular little bug and we all love your doodly nature, so naturally, we enjoy the listing thing with you :) I've been a dead bug in the bath tub lately when it comes to lists-my work ones consist of huge piles of stress that don't make me very creatively inclined no matter what I do. Love and marshmallows on ceilings and stuff and come play weekword why don'tcha and bring your friends? I'm hostin so therefore the word must be weird (and worth a peek)!
http://biomouse.blogspot.com
Never force fun, I say!
I'd take it over, but I've said NO to more projects - its my main resolution for the year... so I'd better not. But if someone else does I'll continue to play along (what else will I do during my assessment class?)

lists....what are lists...
As a relative new comer to this site I am going to really miss this feature. It was very inspirational to me. Maybe after you see how many people you have effected you will change your mind, I hope
http://www.doon-art.com/
I hope you don't keep it going just because other people want you to. I think out of all of the people who replied, who say that they'll miss it, there should/would be one of them willing to step up and take it over. If not, then I don't think they'll really miss it.
Just don't continue to do something that is draining to you. You're only living your life.
Hi all! No reason for all of you to stop making lists - Sally from Sow and Sew has offered to take over the role until she's ready to pass on the hat. Thanks so much Sally! And thanks so much to everyone who has participated here, including the ones who have just joined in!
Sally's blog:

Time to change up the kindling under that creative fire. Yup, I know that feeling. I'm glad to see the momentum will continue though!
Hey, come to think of it, aren't etsy treasuries a kind of list?
xxooxx
Darn it...I've just recovered from the holidays and thought I may get started again...oh well, change is good Aimee!
aw, sorry to see it go, but alas, it has run its course (via you, anyway).
I think I am going to use your #4 as an excuse for oh so many things in my future.
I would hate to see list it Tuesday gone.
Here is my list, and you can rest assure that it will continue on my blog!
I would love to host to, if no one else wants to it would be an honor to keep these lists going!!

Oh I've just seen this post! I was just getting into the swing of it! Many thanks for hosting anyway...much food for thought! (-;
I love your lists. :)
I love- I keep stalling by making etsy treasuries! I do not know how to make them and that is why! I stall enough :) By enough I mean ALL THE TIME.
here is mine !! i love list it tuesday !! if you don't have any other takers, I'll gladly take it to my blog ...
