the minutes melted into each other, one day folded into the next and somehow we've arrived at the end of another school year. my little ones are a lot bigger, brighter and closer to discovering who they are. i doodled this one to give as teacher gifts, a little something for those amazing people who gave their energy, patience, love and knowledge to my children every day of this school year. a big hug and a huge thank you to the teachers of this world!
(now in the shop as a print and a magnet.)

yay! the best kind of fun, is summer fun. we are still in exams here... hugs darlin!
Wow Aimee you have been busy. Couldn't agree more about this post.
lovely - i sometimes think teachers have a thankless job, and they deserve much more credit/kudos than they get.
very cute! bet she'll love it.
A very sweet way to give them a bit of recognition. Lovely.
I do wish teaching were a more respected job in this country. So often, we bow to surgeons, scientists, and TV celebrities. Not that there is anything wrong with being a scientist or surgeon. Too often, we pat teachers on the head and then walk away -- especially true of primary school teachers. More often than not, these people are heroes.
But then there's that cursive writing teacher I had in the third grade. I still harbor a dark corner of loathing in my soul for her.
Those teachers will love your words and your artwork.
I love this post Aimee! I grew up in a house of educators and became one myself and really do count myself lucky. I love watching minds grow and explore new ideas and new adventures.
What an awesome gift for awesome peeps! Man your school year lets out early - when does it start?
Beautiful! They'll love it.
i know that all of the teachers out there will absolutely LOVE you for taking time to thank them for their dedication!!! your doodle is perfect, aimee!! and speaking of thanking......allow me to thank YOU for the candle tutorial.....oh my goodness, i spent HOURS as a teen making those!!! thanks for the "blast from the past" smile that you put on my face!!! xox, :))
Your mouth and hands are always full of clever words :))))))))))))))
aww that's so sweet of you. i bet they love you in that school :)
THIS teacher thanks you for spreading love our way :) The teachers who receive this will love it, I am sure!! Four days to go with kiddos for me...then it's sweeeeet summertime!!! Seriously plotting and planning a trek to Lawrence; my mom, her friend (maybe her daughter, too) and me. Hmmmmmm...if it goes through, I'll let you know, and hopefully you can join us for a lunch or dinner or anything else you're up for :)
this teacher who has been in the classroom for 41 years says a BIG thankyou, and will be rushing over to buy one right now! you rock!!
you are so lucky across the pond, we still have till the 23 july...eeeeek.
YAY for the teachers! Boy, they are having such a tough time out here, what with budget cuts and all. The ones not losing their jobs will have to face bigger classrooms, less resources. We're trying our best to save their jobs, but it's tough. Bless them all.
I started out as an early childhood education major in college and often wish I had stayed with it. A great teacher can have such an amazing impact on a child!
Another lovely piece! You are so incredibly talented Aimee!
Awww, right back at you and your kids Aimee. It's good to know there are children with parents as great as you. You've got some lucky little ones! I'd love to post this in my classroom!
that is awesome Aimee, love that!
This is great Aimee. I would l have been so choked up if a parent ever gave me this when I was teaching. What a sweet and grateful post.
what a sweet gift. When teachers and parents are on the same side amazing things happen. I feel lucky to be a teacher. I teach in a middle school and I can honestly say that I feel lucky to spend my days with adolescents. They make me laugh, think, and want to scream occasionally but there is never a dull moment and I wouldn't change it, kind of like being a mother(: Parent teacher conferences would be fun with you Aimee!
Oh aimee... i don'tknowhow you glue your sweet words together, but they are like candy to my heart. so sweet...
so sweet. and true.
did you know that this is the perfect teacher gift! And that I will be ordering several. AND that I just started hanging art in my studio to inspire me and I took three of your prints - make time for art, inner child and glass of wine - in a three opening black frame and they look AMAZING. And now I'm reminded of my dear friend EVERY DAY!
Busy Girl! This is an amazing gift for teachers! *LOVE* it.
You're so sweet Aimee. I'm sure the girls' teachers loved this.
You just made a group of teachers very happy....I'm certain of that!
IOU Aimee. Thank you so much for the sweet gifts...two of which are currently on my refrigerator and the other two will soon be hanging on my new inspiration wall!!!! Just as soon as I can get it together.
You're the best.
To have such a gift, and share it, is the greatest of talents. Bravo.
