yay

yay-scribble

it's yayday! yay for lots of things: a finished doodleproject, scribbles on walls, a dramatic morning thunderstorm. yay for living in a town where i can go about my business in my pajamas and use my daughter's ladybug umbrella without anyone looking at me sideways. yay for that friend who ditched her work this afternoon to stop at dempsey's for a beer with me. i went there in my pajamas, too. yay even for allergies, because it means the azaleas are blooming. YAY for so many new drinks to try, and a triple yay to those of you who kept me entertained these past few weeks. hope you're finding stuff to yay about today! i'm back to the land of the living now, and off to catch up on your worlds...as long as i can show up in my pajamas...

Hey, I spend the first four hours of my waking days in my pj's, in public. (You should see the double-takes at day care when I walk in dressed and wearing makeup.)

Speaking of pajamas, listen to the first bit of the most recent "A Prairie Home Companion." They taped the show in Seattle, and Garrison Keillor said he saw a lot of windblown-looking people whom he thought were homeless. Then he realized, no, they're not homeless, they're just Seattleites. Ouch.

Of course, I usually describe the Seattle look as "drowned rat."

I totally had a Yay Day, yesterday. While it didn't involve hay, or a peculiar use of kaolin clay (other than my toothpaste, yay), it did involve going to the local brew pub after scamming off of work early and wandering the streets of Sacramento enjoying the weather. I took lots of pictures of cats on porches, lilac trellises, and victorian cookie cutter trimming-total blast!

Yay, for writing such a fun uplifting blog! I'm really going to meet you one of these days. I was out on my porch when the storm blew through yesterday, and I must admit I laughed outloud. A poor woman was trying to walk across the street in it, and I yelled at her to come up on my porch, but she was going into her car.

Yay for sunshine, and daffodils, and asparagus coming up.

Liz said...

oh yay, and yes please, always in your pajamas... do you have awesome slippers too? I bet you do...

Ces said...

The questions are:

Do the pajamas come with a bedhead?

Do the pajamas come with playboy rabbits?

Do the pajamas come with fluffy pink slippers?

YAY for PJ's!
I am SO on the PJ train with ya today!

It is Spring break and so I "have" to stay home all day with my kiddo. OK, he's technically old enough to hang here alone but hey...

Crock pot on this AM, made banana bread for him, and making ATC's for my art club swap.

A nice rainy day that say's, "Stay home".
