here are a few pieces of overheard conversations to kick off your weekend! i dropped everything to get the dirt on the duet, but no luck on that or any of the others. our imaginations will have to fill in the holes...
That's so funny-I love overheard conversations! I live in a downstairs flat and we sleep at the front. We have the little window open and often heaar weird things as people pass by late at night. Often quite sinister. Wish I could remember them-I might start to write them down!
those are terrific and i have those jeans, too. the one about becoming a liar in your late 30s is pretty funny as well as the horse sound. enjoy your weekend!
i've never seen anyone make shipping tags looks so fabulous!! and i just LOVE this (w)hole concept of eavesdropping and then converting it to fun art projects......the eavesdropping being purely for research, of course..... hee hee :))
i have a pair of those jeans too! just cursed them this week. i bet we all bought them at the same place.
shannon overheard the mother of all comments today, involving roast beef or something like it, anyway. i don't know if i have the moxie to post it - so shannon, the floor is all yours if you want to do the honors...
I also love those snippets of overheard conversations - it is great fun to make up the background or the rest of the story! But sometimes can also be very frustrating when I overhear only one or two words, no sentences, aaaargh!!
i'm way past that point even crap jeans stay tight on me(: I love eavesdropping and get in trouble for it a lot as I have zoned out completely when My husband and I are out to dinner. Visually I am there but my ears and brain are sitting with the couple across the aisle(:
I love everything about this post. The tags are beautiful, those lines are hilarious! "yester-last-night" has now officially entered into my vocabulary.
This is such fun! Wonderful interpretation of the weekword Aimee!! Overheard conversations are the best - you can learn a lot - especially in the store where you're trying on those wretched jeans!
Haha:-)) Completely wonderful. Laughing so much. I love how I can hear the disapontment in the "no". Gorgeously illustrated, all of them :-)) Have a sweet weekend - lots of gold
Oh, you are so CLEVER! Not only do these stories have holes, they are fabo-colorful as well! You need to seriously invest in one of those spy gadgets for eavesdropping. Don't leave me hanging on these snippets. That's just cruel!
Hahaha...these are great Aimeegirl...hihi...I find myself with "big ears"...listening to peoples conversations just because you do...hihi...have to write them down though... 3 men...in a store( very happy or just bit drunk I think)... #1 say; -LOOK at these cool gloves? #2 say: -No, they wont keep my fingers warm on the bike! #3 say: - NO...BECAUSE IT´S WASHING gloves... (and they were light purple!!! and very small...haha) And then all of them laughed so much that I started to laugh too...Funny...
these are awesome tags... overheard snippets of conversations are the best, and especially when coming in on it to catch a bit taken totally out of context...
hey aimee...you posted to my blog a long pre divorce madness time ago and I'm just now rummaging through your's..I've seen you around the magazine world and such too..but i gotta tell you, girl..your style is one of the coolest I've come across..so refreshing, funny, bright and comfortable..feeling like I wish I would have done that through the whole thing...that is good and a little rare as I like my style too :) just wanted to say hi and connect. peace, tori
hi - i'm aimee, an explorer from the quirky little college town of lawrence, kansas. you've reached artsyville, a little spot for my creative explosions. i love doodling, lettering, painting, and finding sparks of art in everyday things. thanks for stopping by!
