memory problems

groovy doodle stuff in progress

groovy doodle tags

groovy doodle labels

groovy doodle packs

groovy doodle stuff

so far this month i've been lost in groovydoodleville, getting my little giveaway packages ready and out the door. these were so much fun to put together that i'm going to put some little groovy doodle bundles in the shop soon. now, my next obsession? making magnets. have any of you tried the xyron laminator/ magnet machine? i just bought one, so if i disappear for a while, i'm probably messing around with it. so far, it makes great stickers - my daughter and i have been feeding pieces of her old artwork through the machine, cutting the sheets into little pieces and making collages out of them.

as for my car, i have a consistent track record of losing it. i NEVER remember where i've parked. i've fled into security offices in parking garages in a panic convinced that my car has been stolen, another time i took a taxi home in frustration after a fruitless search... different story... better hit publish before i get too far into this one...

I to have the problem of parking and not rembering where I parked the card, I have gone in one door, come out another and looked for hours trying to find the car, using my key thing to beep the horn.Once while in Phoneix on holiday with my daugher, she sent me out to get the car (a rental), she reminded me where it was, colour etc, and I must have searched for 45 minutes in searing hot desert hit. So now I write down where I park

I took my dog to the vet and was so upset when I came out that we got into someone elses car, then I noticed the baby seat in the back.I haven't had a baby seat in 30 some years. It was silver, but it was a different make, ooops
Do U feel better.

you are definitely the grooviest doodler i know! i'm crazy over your little bundles....please notify when they're available in your shop!! as for your car, i wish i had a good solution....i'd suggest leaving a trail of bread crumbs, but that's already been tried and proven unsuccessful (although that lonely little ol' witch living in the middle of the woods didn't think so.....). :)

My solution? Wherever I go, I park in the EXACT same place as the time before. Works every time...well, except for the first time!

oh aimee, your life is so dang COLORFUL and creative!! I love it. And you'll have to tell me all about the sticker maker-- I've always been curious about them! (Also, I'll give you the low-down on Renegade when I'm back next week!) xoxo

oh, aimee, call me when you park, describe where you parked it, and then call me when you're ready to leave where you just were. i'll tell you where you parked.

your doodle goodies are kick-ass! jenn has a xyron machine, i'll have her give you her take on it.

Your doodle made me laugh--I can't tell you how many times I find myself wandering aimlessly around a parking lot trying to find my car. And it's so fascinating seeing what tools you're using to make your creations for Etsy--you've been busy!

Oh my gosh, I'm just gaga over your crafting supplies. I could just sit in your studio and watch you all day. All these bright colors! And these groovy bundles are brilliant!

I howled over your drawing! As much as I love your lost car piece, I also LOVED your Tuesday scribble. HAHAHA! Is that what happens after a glass or two of wine?

doodle, doodle, little star...
love the idea of tying them to fingers as reminders.

and well, about your car (and the bananas, and...) you were probably glad to hear about the recent breakthrough in genetics to help this sort of thing you're suffering from, right? (just jesting and, yes, I know, wrong sort of humour)

Love groovydoodleville. can I visit?
And yes, I use a xyron at work and home. Have only worked with Adhesive and I like it well enough. Never worked with the magnets though. Now I want to head right home and play!

Oh, I love that drawing in your (moleskine?) diary - I once forgot where I parked my car, but it was such a stressful experience that I have never repeated it. Hey, I've just looked in my moleskine diary at the same dates (Sep 8 & 9) - I have drawings of traffic signs and one of a policeman - haha - now what could THAT mean?!

i once lost a bike like that. parked it one morning somewhere in the center of copenhagen and completely forgot where. and finding a bike in copenhagen is impossible: there are millions of millions parked everytwhere. never found it (and i wasn't even drunk, just had a perfectly normal morning black out).

Haha :-)) lovely car-story.
Magnets sounds like a hoot -- I'll look forward to seeing magnets all over here :-)
Have a sweet weekend

Aimee!!! How cute are those little packages?!!!

Your first doodle, made me laugh out loud... literally. I'm so guilty of that!! More than once, I've had to hit the panic button just to find my car!

when you get your iphone (and you know you're gonna do it), you'll get Parking Buddy for $.99 and let it use GPS to help you find your car.

my husband keeps forgetting where he'd parked, but at least none of us here leave our dog in the trunk and forgets where he's park for two days! I just read this on the paper two minutes ago. The dog had, of course, suffocated.

ok, on another note, your work is getting better and better, every time I visit. Keep the colors coming!

your work is so much fun! hope you are enjoying your weekend! and about the parking- i´m so glad i´m not the only one...

What a wonderful, colourful post! I hate it when I park on level P3 in bay P2 - can guarantee I'll end up in the wrong place!!

NOt going to read these thirty comments but if no one has suggested this you might try it.

I have a little tiny recorder dohicky that is on my purse/like a key chain bob...and I talk into it telling myself I am in the big lot same row as the M in Michael's sign, tenth tree down. Things like that. It works. good luck.

Oh my god, the car thing is so funny. I just lost someone else's Prius for about 45 minutes in a parking ramp in LA. HORRIBLE feeling!!!

I love this page you have done about remembering where you parked! I could have easily drawn this page too... because I have that problem of not remembering where I park as well. Great stickers too!
