i was quite the public annoyance the other day. sorry, everyone! i guess we all deserve our day, and this was mine...

let me clarify that i wasn't lazy enough to make the cashier fetch my forgotten eggs. but i DID plug up the checkout line and send a staff of customer service reps scurrying around the store to verify the price of two placemats that turns out weren't even for sale. just props in the seasonal/garden department. they priced them at two bucks each to get rid of me.
All is forgiven. Nothing damagaed. People behind you could have taken deep breaths. Life goes on.
au contraire, i'm now in fact plotting my next public nuisance. i think i'll take 50 coupons to the checkout line.

oh, alexandra, they did indeed die, but only because i forgot to water them. so our town gets to look at dead flowers because i can't be bothered to remove them. i'd rather push buttons for hours at the ATM and piss off the people in line behind me.

I had such a laugh at this - and at how you turned it around at the end! Yes, I often do the eye-rolling thing at other people until the day when I am the one who forgets my purse/forgets to weigh my fruit at the supermarket/stalls my car in the middle of the intersection. Then of course it is different. I have a good reason!

This made me laugh out loud! I see that I am becoming one of those people who counts out my small change to the cashier to lighten my purse - I used to roll my eyes and grunt about those people all the time when I was behind them in the queue.
