i keep looking for more ways to milk the groovy doodle concept so i can 1) deplete my horrifying overstock of paper and 2) break my ancient printer so i can buy a new one. a while ago i designed and sold this line of personalized stationery - the precursor to the groovy doodle notes, i guess - but eventually stopped because it became so labor intensive that i spent most of my time producing and not designing. now that they've sat untouched for a few years, i'm no longer disenchanted with them, and valentina's weekword has inspired me to start freshening up the name notes with a few new designs. any other groovy doodle ideas? i did the wine tags last month - but what the heck else can i make with a bit of ink, colored paper and a printer? bookmarks? business cards? notepads? give me some ideas - i'll get rid of my paper and break that printer yet.

Hi! Me again. How about rearview mirror hangers? Or, you know those charms that people are supposed to put on wine glass stems at parties so that they don't get them mixed up? Maybe wine glass tags.

Write some of your clever words and hang the card/notes around in your town...hide behind a bush and take a photo of peoples reactions...HAHA...I got the flu and fever therefore this dizzy idea...haha..PUHHH...sneeeezzzzzeeee

Uhhhmmm... Bookplates (those things that say this book belongs to...), and custom biz cards, and uhm, I think my brain stops there...Love these note cards, but can see how they'd be time intensive...

Notepads are always useful around here - I'm always reaching for them! I try to keep one in my purse and in my car too.
As for your ancient printer, here's what I did with my ancient toaster oven... I chucked it full force into the trash can. Then I could tell my husband in all honesty that it finally *did* break :) heheheh

Yeah, it's good sometimes to put something away, only to find it again later, with a fresh new perspective. I'm sure whatever you do with 'em they'll be fab Aimee.
hmmm... I actually thought of you when I read this - http://www.designspongeonline.com/2009/07/paper-scrap-recycling.html. I thought you could make doodles for pens (there are a LOT that would be so fun to put there) and lids for jars. Only question: will the ink dissolve?
(and I don't think the pens would "pay off" economically ... but it would be fun!)

these are great suggestions! i've made a list of them all! really the only restriction is that the ink can't come into contact with water - it runs, and then it looks really NOT groovy.
if i can't break it the gentle way, i rather like meg's idea. maybe i'll just wait for a bad day and throw it down the alley.
