hello july

the beginning of the sunflower season, lots of found stuff, and remnants of human activity around town = an excellent start to july! up until a half hour ago, i was all over that 'smile' sign found in a student's yard, but then the fire hydrant wearing that little orange hat popped out of nowhere and stole my heart. sorry for the bird crap next to the tag on the parking meter... i don't have the time, energy or knowledge to edit it out!

I think the bird crap adds to the uniqueness of that shot! You definitely found all the cool hidden messages around town there!! I see stuff like that too, but when I do we are usually driving by 'em too quickly for me to snap a photo with my phone :( Maybe we'll have to go walking more often around town, eh? so I can capture some of those fun things I see sometimes :)

after seeing your hat wearing hydrant, i thought i'd share a little hoosier pride: http://www.firehydrant.org/pictures/southbend-decorated.html (the bicentennial soldier hydrants). if you've been around the 'bend, you can't miss them!

What lovely things you see, so unique. I, too, had to go and re-check for bird crap! It looks great, an art-work of its own. Love the fire hydrant, it's the best. Clever you aimee.

Sunflowers! Ah! How I have grown to love them so. Best seen en masse in a field... or growing tall in a garden... or sunshine splendid in a vase in a home.

Happy July, happy summertime, g xo
