artists who blog

if you have a moment, please pop over to germany and say hello to stephanie at artists who blog - you might see some familiar scribbles in her post today. while you're there, check out her beautiful studio with a view and her recently launched kitchen sketches. danke, stephanie - this was a big honor and i had loads of fun with it!

right now i'm unpacking from my 1500 mile circle around the midwest, including a 10 hour drive today that crossed even the eyes of this road warrior. looking forward to catching up with all of your blogs and re-settling into the ville for a little bit. i have some goofy pics and a good story about my trip to bloomington that i'll share in the next post :)

first things first: i hope every friend, blogger, visitor, everyone, heads over to stephanie's blog. aimee's "interview" is nothing short of amazing.

second: she is my master guru. she doesn't know it but she inspires and educates me right down to my toes.

there: with that out of the way,

aimee! welcome home! i've been waiting for the driving-with-kids part of the roadtrip to get to you. it took a ten hour day, huh?

:)

What a fantastic way to do an interview -- as I mentioned in my comment to artists that blog -- I wanted to read every word. No skimming. That alone calls for wonderful self-promotion. :) M

What a great way to answer to the questions - both in content and in form!

..I'm supposed to be "off" internet for vacation (I made a promise) but I keep lurking around here (yes, I am here even when you don't know it) seeing what you are up to... You always make me smile and laugh. And you see things in a different way ... and it is so refreshing!

(it is hard to not be blogging!)

Wow, what a trip - I had no idea you covered that many miles... I loved reading your Artists Who Blog interview - and had a little (well no, it was actually quite big) shriek of joy at seeing my name there - you are too sweet and too kind, Aimee! I had a laugh at your 'balance sheet(s)' - and my wish for you is that the scale will always tip over on the healthy side and that you will have loads of time for the good stuff!

one of the most awesome things about going away is arriving home again... somehow gives me a renewed appreciation for the comforts and familiarity...

Hi! I really love your Travelgirl poster. Reading the description has piqued my interest and I must ask: What job did you have that allowed you to travel so often? I graduated from college in May of '08 and have just returned from traveling around Australia. I'm in the midst of job hunting and find wandering around the internet a welcome break every so often. I stumbled across http://www.stephanielevy.blogspot.com. which had a link to your stuff. I would love to ultimately have a career that sent me all over the world. Thanks for the motivation!
Happy Monday!
Claire

WOW!! thanks for all your wonderful, supportive comments both here and over at artists who blog... at first i tried to type out the interview, but everything i wrote looked and sounded stupid, so eventually i gave up and just drew the answers - and it wound up being one of my favorite projects ever. welcome to the new readers from stephanie's blog - great to have you here!

p.s. claire, i just sent you a convo :)
