my favorite staple food? wine, of course... and it has been on my mind more than ever since jen from painted fish studio came for a visit, not only because we had a lot of it while she was here, but also because she brought a bottle adorned with one of her swell wine tags. so for the last few days i've been obsessed with making my own. i dug up some of the patterns i designed for the groovy doodle cards, drew a few more patterns, then a few more.... scanned, changed colors in photoshop, used the elliptical tool to cut a blank message circle, then printed and trimmed the tags. worked great! i made more than i could ever use for myself, so that means a giveaway sometime soon. cheers :)

A woman after my own heart!! A crisp chilled white in Summer, a smooth French red by the fire in Winter, I'm on Rosé at the moment, well not literally this moment as it's 11am and even I am not that bad. Love your labels.

Oh, Aimee! These are SO great! Wine estates and distributors should queue at your door to order these - I honestly think these will be a great way to market wine - I mean, I would be compelled to buy wine if it is displayed with a beautiful tag like this. I think winemakers are putting a little more effort into their wine labels these days, but some of them are still pretty drab and dreary - what a big improvement it would be to cover them with your tags. Anyway, I think they are amazing! PS I was thinking of adapting some of my art journal pages for my zine (with a couple of other things added) - but I do not plan to sell them! I will make a small edition of 4 or 5, maybe to swap with other people, and they won't be professionally printed like tiny red's or gracia & louise's ...
