a new label in progress for the back of my doodleprints
a sweet friend left these beautiful pansies and a cute watering can on my doorstep
another sweet friend found this hundred-year-old gem of an artist journal while on an antiquing trip and sent it my way
more mystery handprints around town
a few cryptic messages in the alley near the bourgeois pig
the business day section of the ny times was in fact not my first choice today, nor was sports thursday, but i'm too tired to tell the human interest story behind it (it's another space invader situation - you can probably piece this one together)
and this headline finally gave me an idea for a piece to fit veja cecilia's weekword STORM - sorry fruenswerk - i never got to HEART :) also, a big thanks to the new readers who have come via artful blogging - i'm thrilled to have you here! and if you have a moment today, swing by tiny red design and wish thereza a big congratulations on finishing her graphic design degree - her blog is my favorite number one daily and i've followed her projects and experiments for well over a year. her final project for the london underground is amazing - check it out!
now back to STORM... a whirlwind is coming... a storm is coming...

Congrats on your blog being in Artful Blogging - I'm a regular here so I only saw your mention of it, not the magazine itself!! - all the more exciting! Anyway Aimee, thank you for your daily dose of color!
your posts always brighten my day, and inspire... to bad i'm stuck at the office learning the finer details of crop insurance and agent interactions. would much rather be out and about, so i live vicariously thru you. happy weekend, aimee!
awww aimee, you're the sweetest!!!
thank you so much for your support and daily lovely words :)
have a great weekend!
'the day after the night before' is wearing off now and i shall draw a storm by the end of today :)))
ohhh, the new label looks really nice :)

Another space invader over coffee? That is so weird! Happy(almost) Mother's Day!
That antique artist journal is too cool! And I always enjoy the photo tours of your artsy town.
:)
looking forward to see what the storm brings:)
i love your label!!!!!
i am curiously having a compulsion to paint my hands red and start a trend here too...
i can't wait to see what comes out of you with the word STORM...
happy Mother's Day... (also can't wait to see pics from your special day)...
xo
looks like a fab week
i looooooove the label its fab. you will have to solve the red handprint mistery! and another invader?! again?! paint a sign that says invaders not welcome? ;)
have a great weekend
xo
Oh, crud. That is not the SAME space invader, is it???
The new label! Made with pride in artsyville. Wish all things were made in artsyville. :)
The flowers are beautiful and the colors are so vibrant. You have a very thoughtful friend.
The red hand still creeps me out a bit.
And an artsyville whirlwind! Now THAT would make great headline news! Can't wait. :D
Oh no, those blasted space invaders!! I like the connection you made with the paper headlines and this post Aimee. Love the pics as always as well! Enjoy your weekend!
love your label. you have the nicest neighbors. avoid the wind. happy mother's day.
I am dying to know what is in that little antique sketchbook.
I never knew Kansas was so cool. Love your photos about town.
I LOVE this post...and such a nice friend to leave you pansies and a watering can...and a cute one at that. I also LOVED, LOVEd, LOVED your pages in Artful Blogging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So beautiful! Congrats Aimee (so proud to know you...sniff)
thanks!! to all of you!!
trying to figure out why painted fish is dealing with crop insurance and agent interactions...
and NO! it wasn't the same space invader. it's another regular who thinks the front section of the communal new york times is her birthright, and we've had a few encounters over it when i've dared to snag it before her, and now i just meekly accept business day and sports thursday as MY birthright - that's all this SI leaves me.
label is almost finished...
and cool to see more artful blogging-ers rolling in... thanks for stopping by. xoxo
It's astonishing how cloely the cover of the antique artist journal resembles the playfyl feeling of your own work.
Aimee! What a wonderful old art journal! I am dieing to know if there was anything inside of it?
By the way, congrats on Artful Blogging! I picked up a copy at the book store to read YOUR article!!! I bet you are getting a ton of new visitors!!! Enjoy!
Cool ponders and storm ponder, the best is coming!
