earlier this year,
lynn fisher started a journal pages group on facebook, and it has quickly grown to over 200 members. we discuss favorite journaling tools, papers, inspiring artists, cool journaling blogs and sites, and so on, and we are having an excellent time with it! recently lynn turned over the reins to
francie and me, and i've just started posting regular page prompts. this week the challenge is making lists: places you've lived, your favorite foods, things you'd never do again, and so on - i've left it open so people can choose a topic that's important to them.
i'm really lousy at planning my journal pages ahead of time, so i'm curious to see whether i actually follow my own prompts or not. this time, i did! as my mind normally turns to travel, i thought about my favorite (and least favorite) road trips.

if you would like to join the journal pages group, go
here - we'd love to see you!

hey aimee- your lists are super cool!
and am going to join your fb group now :D
how is the little one?
Hey, Mother Trucker! HA!
Wow, I love me a good road trip, though we don't do it too often anymore. The Grand Tetons -- whoa is right. And kudzu! I know it's a nuisance plant, but to see it mounded over large trees is amazing, and sometimes you can imagine they look like large green mammoths on the roadside.
Your group sounds like such fun. I can't think of a better person to lead it than you!
as always i adore your work :) what a cool way to record these
Seriously? Your journaling blows my socks off. Incredible!
i will be suffering on i35 thru iowa in june! :)
wow, those are some really excellent sounding road trips on the first list! as for the second... I live (and grew up) in Cincinnati. My grandparents live in Jefferson City, Missouri, so I'm very familiar with Southern Indiana and Illinois. That stretch of I-70 has got to be some of the most excruciatingly boring landscaping in the entire world. And that's not just because I get to experience it four times each year (two times each direction.) Yikes.
YUPIII! Now I really want to join the group... because I need more things to add in my daily disaster.
*LOVE*LOVE*LOVE* your pages.
BTW, are you going to make my special request drawing? :)
great moleskine joy there, keep it up girl!
i love this!! i am a huge fan of lists, so this is right up my alley! and now you've got me thinking about road trips, too....
Your lists--ah! how I love them. Eagerly awaiting the next ones.
Haha! The "Drives that suck" cracked me up Aimee! I remember being a sucker for buying some of those tacky trucker hats myself, in the past. Great ideas and pages here!
Thanks Aimee!!! Fun lists/journal pages!
best, kara
Hi Aimee!
I wanted to let you know that I am a new member of one of your yahoo journal groups and absolutely adore your journaling style! Your lettering is fantastic! I will be back to see what you are up to!
great journal pages! love your blog, i've been stalking it for a while. super inspiring!
thanks for the journal pages facebook group link and for your cheery blog.
have yourself a grandious weekend!
I'd love to have an extra life to check your road trip tips...
and to join that group, ha, ha... :)
such a nice idea!
What a fantastic idea!! I love your lists too and the titles of the pages. I'm going off to have a peek now.... My worst lists are my 'things to do'. They go on forever, are never done so I get fed up with it and start a new one..... Hey ho!
Well I've just been over and checked out that group. Ye gods, it just made me think 'I could never, ever do that'. Ha ha.
I love the lists. And I could add "Nebraska" to that list of crappy drives. What a flat, flat place. No offense Nebraskans. Strangely enough, when I took the quiz on Facebook about what state I should live in? Guess what?...Nebraska. I like the quiet, but not THAT quiet.
thanks all! and welcome jo anne, michelle, and gennysent!
very nice and beautiful blog!
greetings frome germany, hamburg
andrea
LOVED your drives - LOL - they were AWESOME!!!
Please add to your "drives that suck"... I-15 between southern California and southern Utah, because you have to go through hours upon hours of awful, ugly, desert, desert, desert... including the good-for-nothing gazillion degree state of Nevada. TORTURE!
Meg :)
your lists are wonderful.
There ARE pretty drives in Iowa. I swear! Just maybe not that one.
