voices of denial

finally, i made a few visual companions for those little voices that speak up when i commit social gaffes... for example, i did NOT tell someone to have a good weekend when it was only tuesday... i did NOT trip on the curb yesterday while i was carrying my two year old and eat the pavement... and i definitely did NOT think those rotten things about the woman who took the time to stop and watch our spectacular human splat and then just turned around and walked away... no, no, no, say the voices, i did not do, say, or think these things!

other thoughts... a big thanks to steve loya for his interview at go flying turtle. it was so nice of him to include me in his artist interview series... if you're local, be sure to check out heather smith jones' show at the merc; some of my favorite pieces are there...now, i'm off to artsygirl's holiday party at school, and then full force into a secret elf project...think jars of fun... i will post them later this weekend :)

Oh, can I relate! Even at my age, I'm still learning how to keep some thoughts to myself! :) Very clever work here!

Spectacular contemporary samplers. Great series. Also a variation on the three monkeys, as was remarked in the previous comment.

Ohhhhh yeaaahhhh. Lots of evil thoughts live in my head, too. I have to make sure I keep them sealed inside.

Great trio here! Now wouldn't it be great if we had our own laugh track.

how fun to get to read your interview!

I got a good laugh today reading your three "voices of denial"...

a totally different one - and not denial -(my mother's) "do what I say not what I do" when we started questioning here orders

I can definitely relate! I think it is okay once in a while just to say "I DID think that and I don't take it back!" LOL

Hope the little one recovered from the splat.
