oops

[scribbled w/my other hand]

i might be taking a doodlebreak for a few days... i was cutting paper all day for journals, no problem there... then i went to help with artsygirl's classroom for a bit and the teacher asked me if i could cut out stars for a project they're working on... so i said, hey, no problem, i've been at this all day. so she handed me a box cutter and of course i immediately sliced my finger with it. (my middle finger.) so it's not cooperating with drawing at the moment.

thanks for all the sweet comments about my girls, my fun surprise packages, and our lark around town... i also owe a big thanks to heather smith jones for featuring one of my pieces on modish, and to kelly and cristi for the great plugs for my etsy shop on their blogs, too. it's been a great first week!

Wow, now THAT's passive-aggressive. If you didn't want to cut out stars, just say so.

Oouuuuuch! I'm so sorry. That must have really hurt. Hope you didn't need stitches, hope none of the kiddies were traumatized, and hope you heal quickly.

oh, it's not that drastic. i'm being melodramatic. just irksome because i injured a key lettering unit; it will be fine! at the moment, the more pressing issue is what to do with the case of crescent rolls that exploded on the way home from the grocery store a few moments ago. it got wedged in the car door and i heard a huge POP and you know how crescent rolls go - there's no putting them back. i hadn't planned on it, but i guess it's time to make the crescent rolls.

oh well sweetie, all part of the craft... u just learn to draw with your 'left' or 'right' hand... which looks good!!!i've had a splinter of linocut living in my thumb for ages! it bled a lot at the time...but you just get used to it!
oh gosh i'm so sensitive!!! hahahahhahhahah

oh no! that's terrible about the crescent rolls. oh, and your middle finger, too ;). if you should just so happen to have cocktail franks or even hot dogs in the house you could make pigs in a blanket! your girls could help you. feel better soon, your finger that is.

Hi Aimee! Sorry to hear about your boo-boo. I was more that happy to feature you on my blog. Can't wait until your finger heals and the doodles start flowing again!

oh, good call, cindy - that's exactly why i got the crescent rolls, for pigs in a blanket later this weekend - but i ended up making them tonight - the girls loved them!

T - that linocut in your thumb... that just does not sound good!

thanks for all the boo-boo wishes ladies. it's not bad at all, just in an incredibly inconvenient location!
