mindless word fun

it's too cold to go outside, so today i'm going on safari in my head. once in a while i like to dig out my magic bag of cut-up words and give my subconscious a creative workout. give it a whirl! see what bizarre things come out of your head. don't think about it too much. it's a great opportunity to let the uncensored part of your brain drive the car.

perhaps tomorrow i'll venture outside and look up.

oh, that's a good idea, ricë. i think 'the little restructured hamburger' has some story potential.

What a cool idea - a big of cut-out words. My daughter had to make a collage today for school and we spent hours looking for the perfect word - if we had a magic bag we could cheat!

HA! Now THESE headlines are much more fun. I'm trying to imagine where you got "witchy-poo"!

welcome, laura :) yes, somehow it knows all the answers - you may not know what word you need, but the magic bag usually does... and as thereza pointed out, at the very least it allows you to speak fluently in dada... heather, i can't wait to see what you "write"...and bella, i wondered the same thing, too. when i pulled that word out of the bag, i thought, "what on earth was i reading that had the word witchy poo in it?"

i really love seeing your creative process. and, regarding your impressive formal education and work experience, brainstorming is the best part. i also like to change things up, but usually keep some element of consistency. i'm sure you will, too. (sorry, i mixed up my comments)
