i see sparks

the imagination is charging back up again... thanks to:

a clean art desk [inspired by my friend christy's studio photos]; i rarely work here since it's on the third floor, next to a set of un-toddler-friendly skinny minnie mouse stairs, and most of all, i let projects stack up into uncontrollable messes when i work in permanent spaces... but it's always worth another try...

the ever evolving funkytown...

the adventures of a blossoming art journaler...

and coffee w/robin this morning who charged up my creative batteries (thank you robin :))

happy monday to you all! :)

Glad to hear the sparks are back - and funkytown too! Also, put a post up discussing where you live and what you like about it - would love your input!

yeah T guess i had to alter my environment a little bit... i'm still not quite 100% yet... i need to stop noodling and start doodling :)

there was a LOT of paint involved in those artsy #1 pics... i had to close my eyes and let her go for it. but OH MY the cleanup! not so artsy.

great post!!! i love the photos! your art space looks delightful, but i imagine the stairs are a true hazard.... i know all about the piles. i devote at least an hour a week to cleaning up my studio-- not even deep cleaning, just tidying up!!!

Oh to have my desk look like that. My studio look like that. It's so wonderful. That desk is just asking for a project. Can I say I'm a little upset. I really want my desk to look like this. Darn it! Great picture. Thanks for sharing. You've inspired me once again.
Now I will have to clean thanks to you.

I have a secret... orange-jumpsuit-Mr.Spock-look-alike-man was from us. He was all a-jumble in a zip-top bag when we left him there, though. Someone must have lovingly put his pieces in order. If I ever find the other leg, I'll take it to Funkytown to be with the rest of him. I'm sure it's in a toy bin around here somewhere! p.s. your desk looks so lovely and sunny!

oh christy, was it? how funny!! well, there's some sort of odd dismemberment thing going on in funkytown, because i've seen previously whole action figures taken apart and rearranged.
i guess yours was just the reverse!

thanks for the wonderful comments all on my art desk! it is all an illusion though. i mean, it does exist and it does look like that right now, but all i have to do is sit down once and it will be a mess again...

i like your sunny table too and your colorful pencil cups, i would expect nothing less. there's so much wonderful, vibrant color in your home and world.
perhaps left by you and the mysterious painter in your photo! ;)

where is funkytown?

Thanks for sharing photos from your day. It's nice to see how others work, and it's always nice to see that funkytown is thriving.

How can I come here and NOT leave with a smile on my face? Your workspace is to-die-for charming and colorful! LOOOOOOVE those lanterns. Even your window is delightful. Clean is nice, but messy to me screams creative energy. So go mess that baby up!

And thanks for the funkytown pics. I have to admit, Dismembered-Man made me laugh. Someone could use him as a war hero, I'm sure. (Was that insensitive? I hope not.)

And your little painter is adorable!!! She certainly looks like she had a lotta, lotta fun doing it. I hope it was an outdoor project.
