my tonic for the day is my longtime favorite mercedes sosa. her voice sets everything right for me. so does dreaming about when i'll get to draw next.

wow! I quite like her voice. Thanks for introducing me :) I've been listening to David Sedaris' new book "when you are engulfed in flames" on cd for the past few days...

see you there! said...

I've embarked on a new project, making a little journal of "scrap dollies". I'll post some pics later in the week. Tonic for sure as I've been in the creative ditch for awhile.

well today i will get to be in the studio, which i haven't been able to for the last few days, for one reason or another. so i guess that's my tonic. :)

plus i always love coming here to see what you draw. how you make a drawing every day with everything else you do, is beyond me aimee!

krissy: i haven't read his books but have heard great things about them including this one...

good for you darla - new projects are great tonics!

jess i bet i'll see yours on your blog; you always find something great to brighten the day...

heather: studio time, yum... my doodle-a-day comes from late nights, early mornings, a portable box of art stuff and working in 30 second increments :)

Lovely drawing - you are so passionate about it and I love it! Krissy - I'm reading that book too - wish I would have gotten the CD to listen to at work!

Aww your poor falling story - at least you had a cool-sounding job!

that was twelve years ago and i still remember it; it was that bad of a fall. i dragged back to my office and my boss started laughing and said, "what the HELL happened to you?"

ummmm, only tonic today was a couple of good bits of news i got... other than that, just going through my endless 'lists' of things to do...
should play some jamiroquai now to chill out a bit...
lovely drawing, you're so passionate and it shows through:)

correction: that last picture from yesterday's post was by Blackfriars bridge, not westminster. was even too tired to process thought hehehe

oohhh, this one is fabulous. What medium do you use, by the way? Is it all digitally done?

And yes, my collages can take a long time. I haven't ever timed my work so I'm not too sure how long it takes. I like to give myself assignments and try to make myself complete as many as I can in a week, it's good for getting that creativity flowing.
