this, from one of my favorite authors, should be stamped on my forehead. his books are not easy reads - he writes in a very dense style, with sentences lasting up to a paragraph - yet each thought is connected to the next and fits with the others like a puzzle. every so often he rolls a gem like this into one of those paragraphs, reminding us of the beauties and faults of human nature.

great! and so true!!! OMG...i will need to remember this when i'm procrastinating, which is more often than i should...
have a lovely week too! :)
WOW. Great quote.
My boyfriend has never understood why I scramble and rush around first thing in the morning and the moment I get home from work. I *can't* relax until things (or at least, the set list of things in my head) are done. He'd rather lounge and do everything when there's no time left. Sigh.
powerful isn't it? and if we aren't procrastinators ourselves (i am, unless i'm under fire or a deadline, then magical things somehow fall into order and i think 'why can't i do this ALL the time?') then we know one that tortures us in some way or another.
thanks for stopping by, ambika - love that photo!
